Walden University Partnering with Health Care for Facilitate Higher Education

Walden University Virtual Partnerships with health care providers to facilitate higher Education
As the industry of health care continues to grow, more trained professionals are required to meet their many vacancies. In an effort to meet the growing demand for these people, many universities are creating programs for the benefit of those seeking degrees in health.

For example, Walden University recently announced in a press release that it has partnered with four health care providers in New York, Georgia, Florida and Texas. Through these collaborations, the employees of these facilities join the online bachelor's, masters or doctorate.

Walden has created this initiative to allow professionals to pursue higher education, while focusing on their careers. Persons wishing to obtain advanced credentials that this association can choose from over 50 online degree options in over 225 specialties, such as counseling, psychology, social services and public health. The nurses that this possibility can not enroll in a baccalaureate program in nursing embodiment, a master's degree in nursing or a medical nurse.

"As nurses continue to assume a greater role in health care, there is an increased expectation that they should have a higher education," said Sara Torres, dean of the School of Nursing. "Through the alliance with Walden, nurses partner organizations access to educational programs online that can help meet increased expectations while ensuring appropriate knowledge and training they can use immediately the job. "

Those who work at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in New York, North Fulton Hospital in Georgia, Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System in Florida and Seton Family of Hospitals in Texas.
