- For the second consecutive year, Walden was ranked number 4 among the largest online graduate programs in management, taking into account registrations, according to U.S. News & World Report.
- In his analysis of Major Producers Graduate Degrees 2008, the publication Diverse: Issues in Higher Education ranked Walden as one of the leading producers of minority graduates in master's and doctoral degrees in many disciplines.
- The distance education program of Walden University was the only one included in the survey results online Master of Business Administration (MBA) 2009 by Latin Trade magazine and described it as "a very comprehensive program."
- The list of Top 25 Graduate Schools conducted by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Walden University ranked at number 24 and number of Hispanic graduates, 12 enrolled more Hispanic.
